Drone light shows are a new concept and, to date, very few people have seen a 'live' event in person let alone considered hosting a show.
To that end, we have put together some FAQs which we hope will be of assistance should you be thinking about this unique form of evening entertainment.

How Does a Light Show Work?
Creating a light show from start to finish is a technical and complex process involving some cutting-edge software, world-class UK designed and built light show drones, creative design experts, pilots and support crew. But the key to the whole process is you - our client.
We work in close partnership with you to design - and deliver - your perfect show. You get to see a simulation of your show before we test fly it (a lot!) and you can make amendments and changes as we progress towards the day of the event.
But rest assured you don't need to be a design master or an expert pilot ( if you are, then that's great too). In essence, what we need from you is your concept; we will, in close liaison with you, take care of the rest!
How Long is a Show?
Our Pixel drones can remain airborne for up to 20 minutes (depending on weather conditions) but we find that the best duration for a show is between 9 and 11 minutes. This gives plenty of time to showcase your designs and formations, keeping an audience enthralled and impressed.
How Many Drones Are In A Show?
We are authorised to fly up to 200 drones, but as we highlight on our ShowReel page, an effective and fun show can be achieved with as little as 25 aircraft. In essence, the choice is yours - and we are, of course, happy to discuss all options with you so you achieve exactly what you want from your show. And remember, as we say:

Where Can You Fly?
We can fly pretty much anywhere in the UK provided we have the appropriate permissions and - key - we are able to comply with all the necessary safety requirements placed upon us by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA). The best option is to get in touch with us and we can assess a proposed location and let you know our views on the ability to fly a show from there.
Whether the Weather.....?
Clearly the weather does have an effect on our ability to fly. In terms of wind, we are able to operate in 'breezes' of up to 20mph. The rain is a bit more tricky and the most we can fly in is a very light drizzle.
Sound Bites?
We are very happy to incorporate music/soundtracks into our shows. This will be discussed with you at the outset and developed as the show design matures.
What is Your Cancellation Policy?
We have a comprehensive Terms and Conditions document - essentially a contract - which not only provides details of our cancellation policy, but also covers pretty much every other aspect of us working together. You will be provided with this document right at the beginning of our relationship and we are always happy to discuss specific elements if you wish.
......and Insurance?
Rest assured we are fully covered in terms of insurance - up to £1m of public liability which can, if necessary, be increased.
Lead-In Time to Booking
Under the terms of our Operational Authorisation, we need to notify the CAA of where and when we are flying. This is called a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) and it must be submitted at least 28 days in advance. As such, this is our minimum period of notice. However, creating a show is a real partnership between us and our clients and involves initial design - and subsequent development - of the show to the clients' requirements as well as loads of test flying too.
Thus, we recommend getting in touch with us at least 2 months before the date of the show.
The $64,000 Question?
So, what does one of these shows cost? Well, there are so many variables (number of aircraft, complexity of design and location to mention but three) that we don't have a set price and we cost each show on an individual basis. But to give you a generic idea, our prices are pretty much comparable with what you would pay for a top drawer firework display.
